What Affiliate Funding Means
Affiliate marketing is a common funding model for comparison and review websites. When a reader clicks an outbound link on UK Odds Board and registers an account with an operator, that operator pays UK Odds Board a commission. The commission may be a flat fee, a percentage of the operator's revenue from that customer, or another commercial arrangement.
This is how this website is funded and how we are able to publish free content. We believe users deserve to know this upfront, so it is disclosed on every page where affiliate links appear.
How It Affects (and Does Not Affect) Editorial Scores
We apply the same review criteria to every operator regardless of the commercial terms of our affiliate relationship. Operators cannot pay to improve their editorial score, remove negative observations, or change the order in which products appear.
Our editorial scores are produced by our review team based on product assessment. Scores can be updated if the product changes, and negative observations remain published. We do not remove reviews because of commercial disputes.
The products listed on this site are a subset of the UK-facing betting market. Their inclusion reflects our editorial selection, not any guaranteed payment for placement.
How Affiliate Links Are Identified
Outbound links to operators on this site include tracking parameters in the URL (such as utm_source, ref, or clickid). These identify traffic from UK Odds Board and allow commissions to be attributed correctly.
Affiliate links also carry the HTML attribute rel="noopener noreferrer sponsored". The sponsored value is a disclosure standard used on links that are part of a commercial arrangement, in line with Google's link attribute guidelines.
Your Costs
Clicking through from UK Odds Board to an operator does not cost you anything extra. Commissions are paid by the operator from their revenues. All operator terms, promotional conditions, payment processes, and account rules are governed entirely by the operator — check their own site for current details.
